Position Responsibilities:
AGORA Consulting is working with a client experiencing tremendous
success in the business-to-business pricing market. Our Client is
ready to add a senior software developer to focus on our pricing-oriented
Analytics application. The Analytics application utilizes OLAP visualization
software to provide compelling and insightful navigation for business
intelligence users. This lead software development position will
provide strategic technical direction for the companies most adopted
product offering. Our Client seeks a bright individual looking for
an opportunity to turbo charge their skills and career by working
with leading edge Microsoft technology to solve real-world business
problems with innovative software. Selected candidate should possess
solid .Net programming skills, big picture design skills, rapid
prototyping abilities, and mature software development practices.
Requirements:
- A BS in Computer Science with a minimum of 5 years of object-oriented
development experience.
- Proven expertise in Microsoft .Net, C#, and C++ a MUST
- Experience with SQL and SQL Server is required. Knowledge of
MDX and Microsoft Analysis Services is preferred.
- Working knowledge of web-based integration technologies including
HTML, ASP, and ActiveX is desired.
- Strong rapid prototyping skills and the ability to develop
iteratively using Agile software development methodologies is
required.
- Possess passion for technology and solving high-value business
problems with technology is required.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required.
- Good interaction and teamwork skills are required.
- Experience developing enterprise software is preferred.
The major roles and responsibilities of this position include:
- Collaborating with product management to scope and technically
plan the product development activities for the Analytics team.
- Design and code significant components of the Analytics application,
perform code reviews, and present the work done at transfer of
information sessions.
- Interact with solutions engineers to provide guidance and understanding
of Analytics product capabilities.
- Technically coordinate the work of team members, including
remote and off-shore resources.
- Investigate and assess new Business Intelligence technology
from Microsoft.
