Position Responsibilities:
Our client is dedicated to improving the quality of life of people
in the most economically deprived areas of the world by facilitating
and supporting assistance tailored specifically to their needs.
Position Summary:
Recruitment Officer will be a part of Human Resources team and will
be responsible for sourcing for positions based in overseas field
offices and in the U.S. Recruitment Officer will work closely with
Hiring Managers to staff for international projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Source candidates, review resumes and assess candidates' suitability
for overseas and domestic positions including technical and non-technical
positions.
- Conduct interviews and reference checks; coordinate schedules
and logistics for interviews; write job descriptions.
- Work closely with hiring managers regarding projected staffing
needs.
- Source and interview candidates for key personnel positions
on proposals funded by USAID.
- Develop a large pipeline of candidates for current and future
staffing needs.
- Maintain and manage recruitment database and files.
- Research and source new recruiting avenues with specific professional
fields to fulfill organizational needs.
- Responsible for development and administration of comprehensive
recruitment guidelines, systems and manuals.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of International Recruitment experience
in an international nonprofit environment or international organization;
a total of at least 8 years experience working in international
development field is preferred.
- Proven track record of full-life cycle recruiting including
creatively sourcing candidates, posting positions to various job
boards, pre-screening candidates, interviewing and finalizing
offers with hiring managers.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; multi-lingual abilities
a plus.
- Experience working with USAID as a donor and recruiting for
proposals is highly desirable.
- Strong networking and client management skills. Ability to set
goals and meet deadlines.
- Personal attributes include a strong work ethic, attention to
detail and a high sense of urgency.
- Must have the ability to work independently, demonstrate excellent
communication and negotiation skills.
- Must be able to be flexible and adapt to changing organizational
needs.
