Salary: $200K- $225K + Options + Possible Incentives

Reports To: VP

2 POSITIONS AVAILABLE based in:
1. New York
2. Los Angeles

Non-negotiable experience requirement:
Recent and significant experience selling web, mobile web, sms, and/or email advertising inventory to ad agencies and big name brands targeting the 18 - 24 year olds market

Compensation:
The total compensation at "on target earnings" is in the $200-225K range with 50% base and an unlimited upside through accelerators. Also available: stock options up to 0.5% of the outstanding shares or in the tens of thousands.

Position Responsibilities:
To build revenue through advertising sales to high quality targeted customers via web, mobile web, sms, and email advertising inventory

Specifically, the duties include:

  • Meet and exceed revenue targets - OWN the number
  • Create and execute strategic sales plan
  • Work with product team to define, document, and productize advertising placements
  • Evangelize the benefits of advertising to potential advertisers
  • Define custom campaigns
  • Generate leads, and respond to inbound advertising inquiries
  • Prepare custom campaign quotes
  • SELLING THE BIG PICTURE
  • Two individual contributors (one each in the LA and NYC regions) with a revenue number in the neighborhood of $1.5-2.5M.
  • Los Angeles: The LA person will be responsible for entire region, with ENTERTAINMENT serving as the key area of emphasis
  • NEW YORK: The NY person will be responsible for entire region and everything else vertically.

Qualification and Experience Requirements:

  • Recent and significant experience selling web, mobile web, sms, and/or email advertising inventory to ad agencies and big name brands targeting the 18 - 24 year olds market (Coca-Cola, Ford, etc)
  • Ability to bring a directly applicable rolodex of contacts to this position
  • Industry knowledge important, but detailed product knowledge less important.
  • Knowledge of the internet ad business and processes
  • Good understanding of agency/client/media buyer relationships and operations
  • Knowledge of a disciplined process based on experience of working with digital media buyers
  • Excellent email and phone skills
