Senior Director of Compliance

Company: $15.0 Billion, Computer Software, Pacific Coast

Salary: $135K- $200K + Bonus + Incentives

Reports To: General Manager

Position Responsibilities:

Our Client seeks a dynamic individual to lead their world class Compliance team. The Senior Director of Compliance for this global, multibillion dollar organization is a key leadership position reporting to the General Manager Quality, Compliance & Customer Advocacy. This is a critical role within the division as well as across the broader corporate landscape. Compliance is one of the key corporate commitments, and is a high priority at the most senior leadership of the company and division. This leader will be responsible for corporate strategy for world-class leadership in compliance and for driving an integration strategy of a deeply talented compliance engineering organization.

For the purpose of this position, compliance is defined as:
• Product Compliance - e.g., product safety, EMC, Radio, restricted substances, design for environment, etc.
• Management Systems - product specifications and internal standard operating procedures, management programs and operational controls.
• Supply Chain Risk Management - supplier working conditions, occupational safety, and best practices, supply chain security, etc.

Each of the above areas reflects an area of subject matter expertise. Although it is not expected that the Senior Director will be an expert in each of these areas, he/she should be familiar with one or more of the compliance disciplines, demonstrate a strong operational background, be able to quickly come up to speed on complicated compliance subjects, and have a passion toward driving compliance strategy and execution.

This role requires experience in negotiating and coordinating with outside entities that help form the global compliance landscape, including regulatory agencies, NGO’s, and peer group organizations. A track-record of success and demonstrated excellence at managing people, building teams and driving cross-organizational change is required.

Position Description:

Ideal candidate must possess the following:
• Prior experience, at least 12 years, as Senior Leader in Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and/or Regulatory Compliance or Environmental and Product Safety in a global manufacturing, electronics or compliance organization
• Demonstrated track record of shaping/implementing corporate policy/procedures
• Experienced people manager with proven track record of team building
• Demonstrated results in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment along with superb written and verbal communication skills
• BS in a related field, MS or PhD preferred

Deep Product Compliance experience, preferably in:
• HVCE, hardware, electronic components etc.
• High volume manufacturing and distribution in electronics
• Supply chain, manufacturing and environmental in areas above
• Lean or 6Sigma experience, (real applied experience, not just studied)

This position is eligible for Flex Time working arrangements.
