Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician

 

Location: North Carolina, (Relocation Provided)

Position Responsibilities:

This position provides manufacturing equipment sustaining support for the Wafer fab and Bond and Grind manufacturing areas. This individual will work on one of the dedicated 12-hour shifts. This is a unique internal entry-level opportunity that will have a heavy emphasis on past performance. Successful candidate will be expected to quickly learn to perform corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance tasks designed to improve / sustain system availability, reliability and maintainability.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs Electro-mechanical root cause troubleshooting of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles equipment according to operating manuals, schematics, blueprints, etc.
  • Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform equipment checks.
    Works with process engineers to understand process-equipment interactions and limitations relative to operating specs.
  • As needed, modifies equipment to improve up- time or overall process performance.
    Performs routine preventive maintenance on tools in accordance with equipment specifications.
  • Supports production as needed.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Prefer AA Degree in Electronics technology. Will also consider Military training or substantial equivalent experience.
  • Able to read and interpret instructions, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
  • Must be a self-starter that is organized, detailed, conscientious, ambitious and thorough.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Must have demonstrated a high level of dependability.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a clean room environment.
  • Must be able to lift 65 lbs.
  • Good manual dexterity essential
